| Stage I – Written Exam | The written examination will be in the form of an objective type paper that will be administered online. Candidates must achieve the required qualifying marks in order to proceed to the next stage of the selection process, which is the interview. |
| Stage II – Document Verification | All candidates who are called in for the document verification round will be required to bring the original certificates that were uploaded at the time of registration with them. Documents such as educational qualifications, category certificates, and other similar documents will be required of the candidates. Candidates will be allowed to proceed to the next stage of the selection process if the documents they have submitted have been determined to be correct.

| Stage III – Physical Measurements Test | This is the stage in which the board will examine and test the candidate’s physical measurements. Only if they meet all of the criteria set forth by the selection committee will they be permitted to proceed to the final stage of the selection process. |
| Stage IV – Physical Efficiency Test | The physical fitness of the candidates will be evaluated by the selection committee during the final stage of the selection process. Candidates who successfully complete all of the tasks assigned to them will be considered for the position of UP Police Constable. |
