Not much can rain on Kelsea Ballerini’s Grammys parade except, well, actual rain. The Rolling Up the Welcome Mat singer almost missed the entire show thanks to the unexpected L.A. weather.
Kelsea Ballerini was barely welcomed in LA.
She narrowly missed the 2024 Grammys due to Feb. 4 rain. On her Instagram Story, Kelsea, whose Rolling Up the Welcome Mat was nominated for Best Country Album, said, “It’s pouring outside,” trying to stay calm. “Gridlocked traffic. No red carpet for us. We might make the show? By award, hopefully.”
How will you proceed? You’ll vibe “The singer, who dates Chase Stokes of Outer Banks, continued. “We’re just vibing.”
She preached it on her latest album, which details her divorce from Morgan Evans. “This record is about things not panning out how you thought they would,” Kelsea. “And this is God herself being like, ‘Remember?'”
Maybe next time she’ll remember rain gear. Because she had to leave her car and run through the rain to enter the Crypto.com Arena.
“It’s pouring,” Kelsea said, struggling indoors in a Vera Wang gown and ALDO platform heels. I think my boob is out. The dress is soaked. My shoes’ soaked. But we’ll succeed.”
No doubt she did.
She lost the trophy to Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottom Country, but the show was successful. Why? She spent the night with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and others. Who can argue with that?
What to complain about? The weather. They also nearly prevented Miley Cyrus from accepting her first Grammy. See all the winners here.
While accepting her Best Pop Solo Performance trophy, she said, “I got stuck in the rain and traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment.”
Thankfully, she didn’t, and we prevent you from missing a moment. Get the best red carpet moments from stars without rain delays.
