- There must be no other pucca houses in the country for you or your kin.
- This scheme is only open to families who have a house with nil, one, or two rooms and a kuccha wall and roof.
- A literate adult over the age of 25 must not live in a household.
- Families with no male or adult members between the ages of 16 and 59.
- Families with a disabled member that do not have any other members who are able-bodied.
