NYAD (2023)
Coming to Netflix: Friday, November 3rd
Netflix’s NYAD biopic, about a 60-year-old swimmer who attempted a 110-mile swim between Cuba and Florida, is a major contender for the upcoming Awards Season.
In recent weeks, the film has premiered at several film festivals and received rave reviews. It’s Certified Fresh on RottenTomatoes.According to Wendy Ide of the UK Observer, the film’s appeal lies in Bonnie’s wry humor and the friendship’s warmth.

The Killer
Coming to Netflix: Friday, November 10th

With Michael Fassbender playing an assassin in a French comic adaptation, David Fincher’s second major feature film on Netflix is sure to please.
In the first week of November, select theaters will show the film before Netflix releases it.
Following its recent film festival premieres, The Killer has been certified fresh on RottenTomatoes with over 141 reviews and an 89% rating, similar to NYAD.
Locked In

The final Netflix Original for November is Locked In, a complete wild card. We don’t know much about this movie, which could mean it’s terrible or Netflix forgot to promote it.
The Neon Films and Gaumont horror thriller stars Famke Janssen, Anna Friel, and Finn Cole and is directed by Nour Wazzi.

Whiplash (2014)
Coming to Netflix: Wednesday, November 1st
Whiplash, starring Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons, started Damien Chazelle’s recent success.
The film follows a promising drummer who is mistreated by an instructor at a music conservatory.
Although I’ll always love J.K. Simmons as J Jonah Jameson, this is his best film. Sorry, Spider-Man.
Harriet (2019)
Coming to Netflix: Thursday, November 16th
Cynthia Erivo stars in the excellent Kasi Lemmons-directed historical biopic Harriet Tubman, which opens midmonth.
In addition to multiple Academy Award and SAG nominations, the song Stand Up received critical acclaim.
The movie will be Harriet’s first Netflix streaming, which is welcome.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016)
Coming to Netflix: Wednesday, November 1st
John Krasinski-led 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, newly added to Netflix in the US, is expected to perform well in the Top 10s of action movies.
Krasinski plays Jack Silva, who and his team defend a U.S. Compound in Libya that is attacked in the Paramount Pictures film.
Audiences worldwide seem to love the Oscar-nominated Michael Bay film, despite mixed reviews at its theater premiere seven years ago.
Mutt (2023)
Coming to Netflix: Thursday, November 16th
Mutt, our final pick for the month, will premiere on Netflix midway through the month despite being excluded from its November 2023 list.
This film, acquired from Sundance by indie distributor Strand Releasing, follows Feña as her life is upended when people who disappeared during his transition return.
Jari Jones, Lio Mehiel, Cole Doman, MiMi Ryder, and Jasai Chase Owens star.
