National Human Trafficking Awareness Day 2022

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day: On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, National Human Trafficking Awareness Day will be held. The goal of the day is to bring attention to the plight of victims of human trafficking and to promote and protect their rights. Even though the whole month of January is known as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, this day is especially about making people aware of this illegal practice and trying to stop it.

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

Today’s history:

In 2007, the Senate of the United States passed a bill that made January 11th National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. In 2010, President Obama used the whole month of January to raise awareness about human trafficking and try to stop it. Today, there are more people aware of this illegal practice than ever before, and more than 50 organizations are working to stop it.
