Schemes 2021-22 of NABARD
The goal is to assign short-term tasks/studies that are useful and relevant to NABARD, to talented postgraduate students (with a graduation degree) in agriculture and related disciplines (veterinary and fishery), agriturismo, economics, social science and management at institutes/universities of recognition or to students who have five years of integrated study.
Provision of NABARD short-term refinancing for small finance banks for various short-term financing reasons – 2021-22 policy
- Given the short-term credit needs of farmers, small business units and micro-entities and the role of small financial banks to provide them, it was decided that refinancing support for short-term loans should be extended to small finance banks not to exceed 12 months, as per section 21(1) of the NABARD Act 1981.
- The objective for which such refinancing will be sanctioned will include the short term / working capital loan for agriculture and related sectors, a non-farm sector, including artisanal, weaver, craft, etc.
- NABARD’s short-term refinancing standards and eligibility criteria are set out in Annex I. The policy would go on until further consultation
- SFBs may arrange that ST Refinancing Sanctions applications completed in all respects, in accordance with the proforma included (Annexe-II), are forwarded to NABARD Head Office and copied to the NABARD Regional Office in the State in which it has its Headquarters.
