The release says that when they found Tropez, members of the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail began an investigation. The police have taken into custody a suspect who is 24 years old. Investigators say that Tropez and the suspect knew each other and “may have been squatting” at the house.

Tropez was on the reality show Beyond Scared Straight when she was 17 years old. A&E says that the Emmy-nominated series follows teenagers who have been sent to crime prevention programmes to keep them from going to jail. Beyond Scared Straight has told the stories of 331 teens in 29 prisons and jails since it began in 2009.

Tropez said during her episode that she was put on the show because she “fought and sold weed.”

The Sun says that a year later, Tropez said that her time on the show had not changed her views. Tropez told the news source, “I’m still the same person.” “I’m just everywhere, from my friends’ houses to those of my family. Just hanging out.”
